Withdraw USDT to OSMOSIS through KAVA EVM

Yet another cool way to withdraw funds from centrilized exchanges to Comsom ecosystem. In the prevoiuos post I’ve told how to buy NYM token on Osmosis. But there are a lot of cool projects like Fetch.ia, SEI, DYM, TIA etc.

Use to exchange a stable coins is more comfortable because other tokens can go low or high and not so simple DCA. And after some calculation I figured out that I got some loses around 4-5% after withdraw ATOM.

I’ve used Bybit to withdraw to KavaEVM, but Binance and Kucoin also allows to do it. The address to use for KavaEMV can be your default MetaMask address but KavaEMV chain should be added to you wallet. Most simple way to do it is using Chainlist. After all done you can get funds to your wallet. By default you didn’t see your USDT in MetaMast so you manually should add USDT token to the wallet.

After first step starts some tricky part because to withdraw from KavaEVM you need some KAVA tokens on the balance. If you don’t have some you need to withdraw KAVA to your Keplr wallet through centralized exhanges or swap on Osmosis for any asset you have in the Cosmos ecosystem: 0.5 – 1 KAVA will be enough for transfering.

To add KAVA to your KavaEVM wallet I’ve personally used TFM bridge. It allows to transfer or swap tokens from most of all chains in the Cosmos. You need at the same time connect your Keplr and MetaMask wallets to the app.

First step is to select right chains:

Second step is to confirm transaction:

We are ready to transfer USDT to Osmosis. I’ve tried to transfer USDT to Osmosis by TFM but with no result. But official Kava webapp transferred it with no problems. Connect both wallets to the interface and you are good to go.

And you are all done. Hope this helped. But be careful to use the right wallet addresses and check the links you are on.

I need to emphasize that this article is NOT a financial advice and you do it on your own risk.

Update. Sometimes unexpected things happen. I thought I lost my funds during the transaction. You can check out what can happen to me in this article KavaEVM experience.
